Written by Sean Cantwell on February 17, 2020
Review Magazine (the Tri-Cities’ answer to Detroit’s Metro Times, for those like myself who were unaware) has announced their nominees for this year’s Review Music Awards, and a few names familiar to Solid State Radio listeners got some love this year! The 25th Hour got nominated for Best Rock Video for their clip for “Forever’s Fine,” in which our own Dustin James makes an appearance with the band at 711 Entertainment’s downtown Flint office! The Mongrels are also up for the same award with the music video for their song “Tyrant.”
Saginaw goth-rockers Audrey Burne, who featured at our January Sessions Concert Series show, are up for Best Rock Band, but several members are also up for individual awards as well; Piper LD for Best Rock Bassist and Best Rock Songwriter, Jacqui Hoyle for Best Rock Female Vocalist, Rayce Ribble for Best Rock Guitarist, and Kal Welser for Best Rock Drummer.
ADABOY!, who took home Best Alternative Band and Best CD Release in 2016, are up for Best CD Release again for their self-titled debut full-length. Click here for the full list of nominees and to vote for your favorites.
